Jenny Quinn - Hair Designer
I started my hairdressing career at college and then moved onto an academy based apprenticeship, which I was then selected to be on loan to various salons around Norwich in accordance with my salon. Once I completed my apprenticeship I stayed at the salon for 7 years, progressing to senior stylist, working towards becoming a teacher so I could then help others to become a qualified hairdresser and help them complete their qualification while also working as salon manager part time.
My enjoyment in hairdressing is that I believe that know two haircuts are the same, so it presents a new challenge for me each time to individualise and tailor each client to the best of my knowledge.
My main interest though is the science and theory behind colour. I love the fact that the subject is never ending and I can take it as complex as I desire. Now my new chapter at Esteem now means fulfilling my dreams and progressing my career to the next level.
I also have several interests that I enjoy out of work which are mainly sports. I play badminton, racquetball and swim several times a week and have coaching for all three sports so I can constantly progress. I self practice yoga and love reading the benefits that come from these practises.
In February 2018. I started a beginners dressmaking course and went on to achieve 5 more courses. So far I have made, a skirt, blouse, pyjamas, jumpsuit and two different dungaree pinafore dresses and currently creating at home as well as attending a regular sewing club.
I have already considered my New Years resolution which I hope to learn the Korean language. Knowing a small amount already I intend to take it more seriously and attend the language exchange in London.
